Co-Founder + CEO, Innovation Specialist, mentor

I’m kind of a human API.

I connect dots - and wear a few hats: Innovation and IDEO Design Thinking specialist, entrepreneur and mentor across the startup and STEM ecosystem, Co-Founder and CEO of girledworld, regular Keynote Speaker/MC/Journalist, Non-Executive Board Director and recently was inside Telstra's CTO as Innovation Ecosystem Lead.

As a mother of four, flexible work is a non-negotiable, and I thrive on collaborating with smart humans who use bold thinking and brave new ways of work (even if status quo won’t) to design stuff/value that ACTUALLY makes a difference to people’s lives.

Keeping it real, getting sh*t done and bias to action are my first principles.

Projects that drive diversity, improve corporate culture and build gender equality in private, public or government sectors are what get me up.

In my prior life I was a journalist (News Corp, Herald-Sun, Nine Network, ACP, Pacific Magazines, Panpac Media).

But curiosity and asking hard questions never die (+ I still write).

I ran my own creative agency for 7 years (itch) then went back to school = best thing I've ever done. A Master of Entrepreneurship (University of Melbourne, FBE, MBS) let me sharpen my tools in Lean Startup, Agile and Design Thinking. Hooked on innovation, I then maxed it out certifying as an IDEO Design Thinking Coach, 3DayStartup Bootcamp and Inventium Innovation Facilitator.

I co-founded girledworld to build a new Gen of female founders, problem-solvers and STEM doers. We're growing fast. We need to. See

But it takes a village so pipeline is critical: I mentor startup founders at Wade Institute, MBS, FYA, muru-D and Everwise (Atlassian + Zendesk).

I love seeing teams hum and am constantly deep diving the think labs, secret sauce and cultural plays of the new economy game-changers.

As for the future? We need more stopping to solve real problems, shake up status quo and mine the human-centric stuff that matters.
