Mads is the Co-Founder of award-winning career education company girledworld, which has worked with STEM, startup and tech sector business mentors in 100's of global and local companies to connect them with 30,000+ young female students to upskill them for the industries and jobs of tomorrow.
Mads is also the Co-Founder of smart career education and employability skills SaaS platform Future Amp, backed by Amazon Web Services, global and local companies and Future Minds chaired by David Gonski AC.
Qualified in Design Thinking and Enterprise Innovation with Stanford University, d.school, IDEO, Kaos Pilot, The University of Melbourne and Inventium, Mads has delivered innovation, education and STEM engagement projects in partnership with governments, universities, Telstra, McKinsey, Atlassian, Microsoft, Virgin, ANZ and many others, providing strategic consultancy and educational program design across future skilling, leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, Design Thinking, STEM and economic inclusion.
Mads started her career as a journalist, completing her cadetship with News Limited (Herald-Sun), moving from PBL to ACP and Channel Nine, and continues to find voice and tell stories as a national keynote speaker, regular media contributor, writer, MC and cohost of the top-rating Human Cogs podcast.
Mads holds multiple board, startup mentorship and advisory positions, received the 2020 University of Melbourne Faculty of Business and Economics Leadership Award, Victorian 2019 Tech Diversity Award, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, graduate of the 2016 Melbourne Business School Master of Entrepreneurship (First Class Honours), holds a VC Catalyst Venture Capital Investment Certification (2019 Scholarship) and a Monash University Bachelor of Arts (Hons).
But hands down, her greatest learning moments are always led by her four daughters - who keep her eye firmly on the horizon.
